Use Quicksilver to Search Twitter
Robin Yang has posted a tutorial on how to use Quicksilver, a Mac OS X tool, to search Twitter. According to her, “Quicksilver is an application launcher, but also a hotkey binder, a web search, a system search, a music controller, a note taker — all depending on how extensible you want it to be." Tweenky is Twitter with a Gmail interface. (Still in closed beta). Oril Yakuel’s blog has the first screenshots of the service. Tweenky will let you do everything you can do in Twhirl except that it also lets you do more “Gmail-like†things including organizing tweets into folders. You can also save custom searches for easy access later.
Twisky
On Twisky, you can search for what others are doing and saying. You can search for “who†or “what†from the search boxes at the top of the page or check out the “Twitter Hall of Fame†on the left which highlights the most followed Twitterers.
TweetBeep
By signing up at TweetBeep you’ll be the first to know who is twittering about you, your products, your company, or your website. TweetBeep will send you twitter alerts by email when a tweet matches your search. You can also check for mentions of your site, even if the link is shortened (like via TinyURL).

Summize
Fast becoming the most popular of real-time searches is Summize, that lets you search Twitter for a particular word or phrase. Quotably
The service “Quotably” lets you follow conversations on Twitter in a threaded format, which makes it much easier to follow the conversation. To use Quotably, just enter a Twitter username and you’ll see the threads around that user. You can also use the search box to find conversations around certain keywords on the site.
