FireStatus

FireStatus is an experimental Firefox plugin that allows you to quickly send notes to Twitter, Facebook and FriendFeed. It also displays updates from these services in notification popups. If you wish to share a certain URL, just stand on the desirable webpage, open FireStatus, add a short note, and fire your status away. (via)

ZYGOtweet

ZygoTweet is another service that will offer Twitter via SMS in the UK, like tweetSMS plans to do. The service will be charge users 4-5 pence per message.

Tweetbots

Tweetbots is a service that automatically re-sends people’s tweets automatically (re-tweets). The tagline reads “stalk, track, auto-follow, re-tweet, feed-tweet.” Whoa! Sounds spammy!

tweetSMS

A new service by a UK web development company called tweetSMS will help Twitter users send and receive tweets via text once again. On August 14th, 2008, Twitter stopped supporting SMS outside of the US, Canada, or India. TweetSMS will now provide the service for a small fee (unknown at this time). The beta will begin shortly, so register here to get on the list. Initially, the service will be available in the UK only. Later on, they hope to offer it internationally.

Tweet Pro

Tweet Pro allows you to quickly and easily find Twitter users who share your same interest by allowing you to search through posted messages and profile information. Using this software you can be following people all over the world who share your same interest in minutes.

Twit-it

Twit-it! is an online app that allows you to send tweets to twitter about things you are looking on internet on that moment. The app works via a browser bookmarklet or a button you have embedded on your own blog or site.

Twadl.com is a tool to let you post status updates on Twitter.com.

Getting Started

To start using Twadl:

• Sign Up on the account page. Enter your Twitter.com details, and choose a password for Twadl.
• Update your status by visiting the front page, typing a message and then hitting "Update Status".
• Reply to others by clicking on the name in front of a Tweet, or the ‘@’ in a Tweet. You’ll get the idea.
• Upgrade Your Account from the Account page, with an invite code.

Twitter Writer

Twitter Writer is a plugin for Windows Live Writer that pings Twitter after you publish a post to your blog. You can configure what the message says in the settings.

To install this plugin, do the following:

1. Download the file Twitter.WriterPlugin.dll and copy it to the following directory: C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Writer\Plugins\
2. Go to Tools –> Options –> Plug-ins –> Twitter Notify and fill it with your Twitter username / password.

TweetAhead

TweetAhead lets you schedule your tweets for future posting.  After logging in with your Twitter username and password, you can write your tweet and then set the time you want it to post to Twitter. You have to enter the time in GMT 24-hour time format.
