Q&A
Q: What is Tweetsville?
A: Tweetsville is an iPhone application for Twitter.
Q: I deleted a tweet from my main timeline on the Twitter website, but it still shows in Tweetsville.
A: In order to try to be nice to the Twitter servers, we only get new Tweets since the most recent one in the Timeline view on your device. If you deleted a message before that, it will unfortunately still show up until it eventually falls off the timeline. If you really want it to go away, you can clear your local cache in Settings. Just tap "Clear Cache" there.
Q: Why can’t I delete any direct messages?!
A: Due to an omission in the Twitter API, it’s impossible to delete direct messages you’ve sent. Until that is fixed (and we have filed a bug), you’ll need to delete messages from the web site.
Q: I posted something, and later it disappeared in Tweetsville, but it shows on the Twitter site. Where did it go?
A: If it’s showing on the web site, then it’s most likely the Twitter API is sending us cached data instead of fresh data. Because we treat the feed from Twitter as the ‘truth’, we think your message/tweet was deleted and remove it. Once the API starts giving us fresh data though, it should show up again.
Q: Why isn’t the design all black? All the cool kids are doing it!
A: One of the main goals for this application was that it fit into the native iPhone look and feel.

What’s Flight? We’re not sure besides the fact that it’s an upcoming iPhone client for Twitter created by Ahten Industries. Stay tuned!
Twittervision for iPhone
Like the original Twittervision, Twittervision for iPhone gives you a glimpse at the real-time twitters around the world. You can use this app to find people near you and update Twitter with your current location. Brightkite killer? Perhaps. As soon as we all have iPhones.
Twittelator
Twittelator is a Twitter app for iPhone that lets you post both tweets and pics. However, its big selling point is a feature that helps you send a fast tweet if you’re in an emergency situation. If you have an emergency, simply click the “Emergency†icon to create a tweet with a map to your location.
Checking Back In With Twitxr
Originally, Twitxr was not much more than a Twitter clone for posting pictures, but the site seems to have evolved. Now you can access Twitxr from any mobile device (Windows Mobile, iPhone, Nokia, Motorola have apps, other devices go to m.twitxr.com or email). The app also allows for cross-posting to Facebook, Twitter, flickr, and Picasa. As Ping.fm is to microblogging, Twitxr is to microblogging your pics. Time to give Twitxr another look?
Twinkle
Twinkle (earlier post) is an iPhone Twitter client now available from the app store (iTunes link). It now supports photos and lets you post to other services besides Twitter. It’s also location-aware to let you find other Twinkle users in your vicinity. Unlike Twitterific, Twinkle doesn’t have a built-in browser, so clicking links launches Safari.
