Inner Twitter Reminds You to Breathe
A service called Inner Twitter wants you to remember to slow down, breathe, stop, relax, and meditate. The service works by sending a chime message via either Twitter or Jaiku at selected intervals throughout the day. To use Inner Twitter, you must first follow one of the mindful users. There are 3 users to choose from based on the schedule you want to follow: mindful15 - chimes every 15 minutes, mindful1PerHour - sends a chime at a random time every hour, and mindful1PerDay - sends a chime at a random time every day. You can observe the chime any way you want, but they suggest the following:
- Stop.
- Let any tension you are carrying drain away.
- Meditate on your breathing.
- Notice whatever is immediately before you.
- Potentially share your observations.
Twitxr - Twitter Clone for Pics
Twitxr is a Twitter clone that lets you post pictures and short messages. Like Twitter, the messages are limited to 140 characters. The app can be linked to Facebook and Twitter, and it adds your location automatically with no GPS needed. But really, the service is all about photoblogging, just done with some Twitter-esque flair.
Qwitter - Quit Smoking with Twitter
Qwitter is a tool that helps you quit smoking with Twitter’s help. Using Qwitter, you can keep track of how many cigarettes you smoke per day, keep a journal of your thoughts, view your progress over time, and share the info with others. To use Qwitter, you send Qwitter the number of cigarettes you smoked like this: @iquit 2. Every day, Qwitter will add together all the posts you sent that day and add them to your progress graph. You can also keep track of your feelings by sending Qwitter those thoughts to @iquit. Over time, you can go back and review these on your Qwitter page at http://qwitter.tobaccofreeflorida.com/qwitters/username .
Twitter 100
At Twitter 100, you just enter your Twitter user name and the web page is filled with the latest tweet from all the people you follow (up to 100, obviously). The people and tweets are laid out on a grid pattern. The page refreshes automatically as often as you want. The page only shows the latest tweet from each of your contacts.
Chris Brogan started a project called Twitter packs. The idea is to list area of interest or locates and select people you know who would be someone others might follow. On the Twitter Packs wiki, packs are sorted by topic, geographic location, company, events/meetups, identity, and more. For example, check out the technology pack, where packs are further sorted into areas like Apple, Databases, SEO, Tech News, etc. Beth of Beth’s blog adds another category to the wiki, Nonprofits. Feel free to contribute with more ideas!
Twitter Social Graph
On this site, you can visualize who someone is following on Twitter. This application was created with the Google Social Graph API. Below the thumbnails are links from the Twitter public timeline, too. The thumbnails are slow to load, but really this isn’t meant to be anything but a proof-of-concept, so it’s just cool to check out:

For Valentine’s Day, Twitter is letting you show your love <3 for someone publicly! Just type @theirusername <3 and it will send a reply message to the user asking if they love you too. If they do, they will click yes and a reply heart is sent as well. How cute! (via TastyBlogSnack)
We’re not entirely sure what Favotter does. As best we can tell, it’s a Twitter’s mash-up service. According to the site owner, whose first language is Japanese, Favotter "collects a lot of favorites from many Twitter’ers and provide most exciting POSTs in Twitter. Favotter searches 950 users who have largest number of "favorites"." OK, then.

You can click on any of their Twitter usernames to see a full page of their recent tweets. Click on the “Popular” link on Twitterlinkr to see a tag cloud of the most popular tags at the time. You can also use the TwitterLinkr search box to search for anything on Twitter.
