twitterlights Twitterlights is a combination of Twitter and i*Lighter, an app that lets you highlight the web with a virtual highlighter. The text you iLight can be shared on Twitter with the Twitterlights application. After you download the app, you click "start i-Lighting" to use it. When you see something you want to twitter, just right-click and click "Twitter This!"

strawpoll The twitter application called StrawPoll is a daily twitter poll application. To use Strawpoll, just follow the twitter user Strawpoll. Every day at about 8:00 AM EST, Strawpoll asks a question. Reply with your answer and check out the Strawpoll’s homepage for an updated graph with the answers of everyone who is participating in that day’s poll.

twimblerTwimbler is tumble blog that gets updated via Twitter – the favorite microbloggin platform of the web 2.0. So, if you know how to tweet, then you could be twimbling right now without even noticing. Creating a Twimble? Twimblog? is as easy as following these 3 steps:

  1. Sign up for Twitter
  2. Whenever you feel like twimbling, you can do it using this format: #log: {http://example.com} {A short description or comment on the link}

Where {http://example.com} is a link that you want to post, followed by a space, then followed by wherever text you want to be posted on your twimblog.

  1. Go and look at your profile at http://twimbler.com/{YOUR TWITTER NICK} - this isn’t really a step, it’s just fun!

You can also add or update a THING on Thingfo and your Twitter account with be updated too, with a link to the THING. On Thingfo, instant communities are formed around the item where people can then interact, add photos, comments, tags, and experiences.

Twitter and Songza

songza-twitterSongza, a music search engine, is offering a way to make content more shareable using Twitter. Songza has added a “Twitter This” option to the menu that appears when you click on a song in your search results or playlist. This will post your song to Twitter, sort of like a TinyURL.
